Teacher Profiles

Here are the profiles of some of our best, trusted and most experienced teachers. They all have a long experience in teaching and enjoy doing so. In this page you can get to know them a little better.

     – Why are you living in Prague?
Protože studovat i pracovat v Praze je prostě super. Tedy pokud máte i možnost občas prchnout. 🙂

     – What’s the thing you like the most about teaching?
Nejvíc mě asi baví to, že můžu něco, co umím předávat dál. Člověk se cítí tak nějak hezky užitečný.

     – What do you like to do in your free time?
Miluju tanec, procházky v přírodě a sport. A taky povídání s přáteli nad sklenicí dobrého piva! 🙂

     – What would you miss if you had to live and teach abroad?
Postrádala bych své přátele. Ten náš společný humor i v naprosto zoufalých situacích by mi opravdu chyběl!

Kumi – English Teacher

I want to experience a different culture, meet people from all over the world and broaden my mind while being immersed in history.

     – What’s the thing you like most about teaching?
I enjoy educating people, teaching them something new. It’s a great feeling when they understand, when they get what you’ve been trying to explain. It’s also nice to feel appreciated for the work you put in.

     – What do you like to do in your free time?
To relax, watch movies, read. Go dancing, exercising, going on trips, sightseeing.

     – What do you miss most about your country of origin?
The sun, sea, food, openness of people, my family.

Kristýna – Czech Teacher

czech-teacher

     – Why are you living in Prague?
Jmenuji se Kristýna, narodila jsem se v Praze a jsem učitelka češtiny pro cizince.

     – What’s the thing you like most about teaching?
Mám ráda práci s lidmi, ráda naslouchám a moc mě baví, když se ani dospělí lidé nebrání hrám – proto se snažím se o to, aby mé lekce byly pestré, hravé a zábavné. Ráda používám nejrůznější audiovizuální techniky, či kombinuji pohyb a procvičování jazykových jevů. Baví mě objevovat a zdolávat úskalí jazyka společně se studenty.

     – What do you like to do in your free time?

     – What would you miss if you had to live and teach abroad?
Kdybych měla žít v zahraničí, tak by mi rozhodně chyběla moje rodina, moje milovaná Praha a taky naše krásná česká krajina.

Daniel – English Teacher

     – Why are you living in Prague?
My Name is Dan, I moved to Prague for the chance to live in a (Non-English) European city, The reason I chose Prague itself is for its great location at the center of Europe, it’s great architecture and quality beer!

What’s the thing you like most about teaching?
What I like most about teaching is the chance to meet new people and help them improve their language skills for whatever reason they need, such as working or going to live abroad, or for international work based in the Czech Republic.

     – What do you like to do in your free time?
During my free time I like to explore new areas of the city and get to know it better. I also like to draw, so in sunny weather enjoy sitting outdoors and drawing different parts of the city.

     – What do you miss most about your country of origin?
As much as I enjoy living in Prague, there are times when I miss my native England. One of the main things I miss (surprisingly) is the food. For all its bad reputation, I do think England has some of the best food around for example, fish & chips, pies and great cakes!
